Work:
Julie’s collage and assemblage pieces are influenced by her mother (a quilter) her father (an architect) and incorporate found objects as well as materials more normally associated with craft and sewing projects: glitter, beads, fake jewels, ornaments (essentially anything sparkly), fabric, thread, buttons, lace…….. Julie finds inspiration in mixed textural elements and in the meditative beauty and awe of obsessive detail.
